In the game of cricket, it’s crucial for everyone to put forth their best effort and reach a certain milestone to go down in history as a great player. On July 20, 2023, at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, the West Indies will host the second test match between India and the West Indies. Virat will play his 500th international match on that day, making it especially significant for him and his supporters. He is now the fourth Indian cricketer to reach this milestone; the others being Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Rahul Dravid. Early life: – A child named Virat Kohli was born on November 5th, 1988, to a Punjabi household. His mother Saroj Kohli is a housewife, while his father Prem Kohli worked as a criminal defence attorney. Vikas, his older brother, and Bhawna, his older sister, are his siblings.  Delhi Cricket career: – At the Luhnu Cricket Ground, Virat began his junior cricket career in October 2002. He set some impressive marks while he was just 14 years old, which led to his selection for list A cricket. On February 18, 2006, he makes his list A debut, but he was unable to bat in that game. Again, based on his prior performance, he was chosen for first class cricket, and on November 23, 2006, against Tamil Nandu, he made his Ranji Trophy debut. International Career: – Because of his previous performance and batting average, he was selected for India U-19 in 2006. His debut match was against England, and he scored 49 points on average. That is fantastic for a novice. He was selected for international matches after winning the U-19 World Cup, and he made his debut against Sri Lanka in 2008. Other honours include the People’s Choice Award, the GQ Award for Sportsman of the Year, and others. There is an incredible number of accolades and records; no one can attain these records in a single career. He also has the second the Highest number of centuries and half centuries in India. Conclusions: – Although he didn’t bring home any international trophies, he still created remarkable records for the Indian team that would be remembered in the years to come.
