Navroz is followed by the Parsi community in India according to the Shahen Shahi calendar, resulting in its observance approximately 200 days after the rest of the world. Globally, Parsi New Year falls in March. This day also signifies the commencement of the Iranian or Persian New Year, a celebration with a history spanning over 3,000 years, observed by various ethnicities worldwide. On this day, the Parsi community in India undertakes cleaning and adorning their homes, offering prayers, preparing meals, and hosting gatherings for family and friends. In Parsi houses, traditional foods like Dhansak, Patra Ni Machi, Sali Boti, Berry Pulav, Lagan Nu Custard, and Ravo are regularly made.
