RCB appointed ANDY FLOWER as head coach
Prior to the Indian Premier League 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore has hired a new head coach for the club. Sanjay Bangar has been replaced as the team’s head coach by Andy Flower. With clubs in the IPL, Pakistan Super League, International League T20, The Hundred, and Abu Dhabi T10, Andy Flower has had a spectacular coaching career. Andy Flower formerly worked as the head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL before joining RCB. When he was hired as the England cricket team’s assistant coach in 2007, he began his coaching career. Since then, he has worked with other groups, including Multan Sultans as their head coach and Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL as their batting coach. In the IPL, he worked as Punjab Kings’ assistant coach. He signed up with the Lucknow franchise in 2021, where he was given the duty of leading the Lucknow Super Giants. RCB made the announcement on Andy Flower’s hiring as the head coach through Twitter. They stated that the team’s head coach has been named as Andy Flower, the ICC T20 World Cup champion. Notably, Andy Flower is a fellow inductee into the ICC Hall of Fame. Along with their statement, RCB also posted images of Andy Flower to Twitter.
