The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that over a span of twenty- four hours, thirteen sections in Himachal Pradesh will encounter moderate downfall, with one or two  locales in the state  passing heavy  downfall.   In the face of ceaseless rain, the Dehradun Defence College structure in Maldevta collapsed on Monday. As of 300 PM on Sunday, IMD Shimla prognosticated,” Over the coming 24 hours, there’s a liability of moderate rain in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan, Una, Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, along with heavy to veritably heavy downfall at isolated spots.”   Meanwhile, in Uttarakhand, the IMD has issued a red alert for Monday, prognosticating heavy downfall coupled with lightning in six sections of the state.   The Weather Department stated,” There’s a high liability of veritably heavy to extremely heavy rain/ rainstorm accompanied by lightning and violent to extremely violent spells in insulated areas of Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital, Champawat, and Udham Singh Nagar over the coming 24 hours.”

In Uttarakhand, amid the ongoing grim downfall, the Dehradun Defence College erecting reportedly collapsed on Monday, as reported by PTI. farther details regarding the incident are presently awaited.   In Himachal Pradesh, a rainstorm in Solan quarter redounded in the loss of seven lives on Sunday due to the heavy downfall the region has been witnessing. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his condolences for the casualties and directed authorities to give comprehensive backing and support to the affected families during this grueling period.
